Kaleidoscopic UK & Wokingham’s Citizens Advice Outreach Mobile Van

Kaleidoscopic UK are delighted to be part of Citizens Advice new outreach mobile van. The van has been launched to take support to the community and create easier ways for people to get the needed support and remove barriers.

The van complete with consultation room, laptop and printer also has a hot water heater with the ability to complete assessments, offer support, advice and a cuppa. With a range of local support services involved in such a vital holistic approach it is a great initiative that we are delighted to take part in.

Our hope is that we can reach out rather than people having to reach in as that can be so hard to do when in an abusive relationship. If people come in for support from Citizens advice there may be layers to the help needed such as financial/economic abuse or coercive control.

It was an absolute pleasure to meet Theresa May at the launch event and discuss the impact of domestic abuse further especially as she was such a force implementing the Domestic abuse bill, which is now the Domestic abuse Act. We got to hear her views and thank her for all she does to highlight abuse.

We look forward to working alongside this incredible initiative, please do come and say hello.
