Kaleidoscopic UK Receives The King’s Award for Voluntary Service 2025

Kaleidoscopic UK is proud and honoured to announce that we have been awarded the prestigious The King’s Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS) in 2025 which is the highest recognition a voluntary organisation can receive in the United Kingdom.

This year, Kaleidoscopic UK stands among just 231 charities, social enterprises, and voluntary groups across the UK to receive this distinguished honour. The award celebrates exceptional dedication to community service and recognises the transformative impact of voluntary work across the nation.

We were formally presented with this award at a special ceremony held at Wokingham Town Hall on 3rd March 2025. The event marked a significant milestone in our journey, a moment of reflection, celebration, and deep gratitude.

Surrounded by supporters, partners, and members of our community, the occasion was a powerful reminder of how far we have come and the collective effort that has made this achievement possible.

This recognition belongs to every individual who has been part of our journey.

It is a testament to our dedicated volunteers and trustees who give their time, compassion, and unwavering commitment our valued patrons and partners who support and strengthen our mission and our wider community of supporters who stand beside us

Most importantly, this award belongs to the survivors we walk alongside every day. Your courage, resilience, and trust shape everything we do.

As shared by our CEO and Founder, Vickie Robertson BEM:

“This award is for every volunteer, trustee, and patron who gives their time, heart, and hope to support survivors of domestic abuse. It reflects the strength of our community and the importance of lived experience in driving meaningful change.”

“It is also for every survivor who trusts us to walk alongside them. Your courage, voice, and resilience inspire everything we do. It is a privilege to support your journey toward healing and empowerment.”

Receiving this award reinforces our commitment to supporting children and adults affected by domestic abuse.

At Kaleidoscopic UK, we remain dedicated to:

  • Creating safe, inclusive spaces where healing can take place
  • Championing survivor-led approaches and lived experience
  • Advocating for meaningful, lasting change
  • Ensuring every voice is heard, valued, and respected

This recognition strengthens our resolve to continue delivering support that is compassionate, accessible, and truly responsive to the needs of survivors.

While this award is a celebration of what has been achieved, it is also a powerful reminder of why we began and why we will continue.

Our work is far from over. Together, we will keep striving toward a future where every survivor feels seen, supported, and empowered to rebuild their life with dignity and hope.

To everyone who has supported Kaleidoscopic UK, thank you!

Your belief, trust, and commitment make this work possible.
