Community, Connection & Incredible Support at the Wokingham May Fayre
We were so proud to be part of the wonderful 2026 Wokingham Lions Club May Fayre again and to spend the day alongside so many incredible charities, organisations, local businesses, and members of our community.
The event was filled with such a fantastic atmosphere, and we loved meeting so many lovely people throughout the day, speaking about the work we do at Kaleidoscopic UK, raising awareness around domestic abuse, and connecting with both familiar and new faces at our stall.
Events like this are incredibly important for charities like ours. Not only do they help raise vital funds that allow us to continue supporting survivors and their families, but they also create opportunities to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and bring communities together in meaningful and positive ways.
We are absolutely honoured to have been one of the local charities supported by the Wokingham Lions Club this year, especially as they celebrate 30 incredible years of organising the May Fayre in aid of local charities and community organisations. What an amazing milestone and achievement for our local community.
The Lions have shared that local charities collectively raised an estimated £28,000 during the event, which is simply incredible and a real testament to the generosity and community spirit of Wokingham.
We are also so grateful and humbled to learn that the Lions will be donating additional funds raised from organising the event back to the charities involved including Kaleidoscopic UK. The ongoing support shown to local charities by the Wokingham Lions Club is truly inspiring, and we cannot thank them enough for their kindness, dedication, and commitment to supporting the community.
A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our stall, volunteered, stopped by for a chat with us, supported us, donated, purchased merchandise, or simply took the time to learn more about what we do. Every conversation matters, and every bit of support helps us continue empowering survivors from surviving to thriving.
And finally, thank you to the Wokingham Lions Club for organising such a special event and for continuing to champion local charities year after year. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
