Reading University Centenary Festival
Kaleidoscopic UK Brings Colour, Connection and Community Spirit to the Centenary Community Festival
This weekend, Kaleidoscopic UK had the absolute pleasure of attending the incredible Centenary Community Festival hosted by University of Reading and what a fantastic day it was.
From the moment the festival began, the atmosphere was filled with warmth, laughter, kindness, and true community spirit. We were so grateful to spend the day meeting so many wonderful people, sharing conversations, raising awareness, and celebrating together.
Our Rainbow Rush game brought plenty of smiles throughout the day, while many visitors stopped by our stand to learn more about the support and services we provide for individuals and families affected by domestic abuse. We were also delighted to share some of our merchandise and offer free women’s wellbeing and safety care packs to members of the community.
These packs included thoughtful items such as drink cover scrunchies, personal alarms, and other wellbeing gifts designed to help women feel safer, supported, and empowered in everyday life. Creating opportunities for both awareness and practical support is something incredibly important to us, and it was heartwarming to see how positively these were received.
We were also honoured to welcome the Reading Mayor Alice Mpofu-Coles during the celebrations, making the day feel even more special.
Events like this are such an important reminder of the power of community, connection, and collective compassion. We are incredibly thankful to everyone who organised the festival, welcomed us so warmly, and took the time to visit our stand throughout the day.
Thank you again for including us in such a vibrant and meaningful celebration, we are already looking forward to the next one.
