Kaleidoscopic UK Celebrates Receipt of The King’s Award for Voluntary Service

Kaleidoscopic UK is deeply honoured to announce that we have been granted The King’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest recognition a voluntary organisation can receive in the United Kingdom. This award is a profound acknowledgement of the strength, courage, and leadership of survivors who stand at the heart of everything we do.

As a survivor-led, volunteer-run charity, this recognition reflects the resilience and dedication of those who have lived experience of domestic abuse and choose to use their voice to support others. From peer support to advocacy, community training to awareness-raising, every step we take is shaped by survivors — for survivors.

Our Founder and CEO (Survivor-Led) shared:

“Receiving The King’s Award is a powerful validation of our belief that lived experience must be at the centre of change. This award belongs to every survivor who has found the courage to speak, to heal, and to help others. It belongs to our volunteers who give their time selflessly, to our supporters who believe in our mission, and to our community that continually uplifts one another.”

We extend our heartfelt thanks to:

  • Our volunteers, whose compassion and commitment make our work possible.
  • Survivors, who bravely share their stories and lead with lived experience.
  • Our partners, supporters, fundraisers, and community champions, who stand with us in creating safer, more understanding communities.
  • The individuals and organisations who nominated us, recognising the importance of survivor-led advocacy and support.

This award strengthens our resolve to continue challenging stigma, amplifying survivor voices, and fostering environments where everyone can feel safe, heard, and empowered.

Kaleidoscopic UK remains committed to ensuring that every survivor knows: you are not alone, your voice matters, and together we can create lasting change.

Thank you to all who are part of this journey. This award is yours as much as it is ours.
