• WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE

Kaleidoscopic UK – supporting children and adults who have been exposed to domestic abuse.

  • IF YOU EVER FEEL BROKEN,
remember that the beautiful views of a kaleidoscope are made from broken parts.

  • The circles of women around us weave invisible nets of love that carry us when we are weak and sing with us when we are strong.

    – Sark –
  • If someone treats you badly, just remember that there is something wrong with them, not you. Normal people don’t go around destroying other human beings.

    – Lessons Taught by Life –
  • Never be ashamed of a scar.
It simply means you were stronger than whatever tried to hurt you.

Welcome to Kaleidoscopic UK

Kaleidoscopic UK is changing patterns to find our colours again from domestic abuse.

‘Survivors’ we believe to be those currently experiencing or having experienced domestic abuse in any form as you have to survive daily, in it or out of it.

Kaleidoscopic uk is about changing patterns and finding our colours again after domestic abuse. It may change us BUT it does NOT define us.

Let us help you find your colours.

You’re Among FRIENDS

We provide independent, confidential and free on-going survivor-led support groups. Available to anyone who has experienced any form of domestic abuse.

Enhancing education and awareness through the eyes of survivors.

Providing training for any service or individual supporting survivors.

Coronavirus COVID-19 Update

Our services are still available during Covid-19 via online portals

Kaleidoscopic online programmes and support groups can be made available via Zoom.

Isolation is a classic tool used by abusers.

So with the COVID-19 virus we know this will be a difficult time.

Services are all still operating online/phone if you need them though and you are NOT alone.

  • We suggest using a codeword with a safe person. If you use this word to them via any means then they know what help to send for you.
  • If you are able to have an emergency bag/essentials stored somewhere in case its needed.
  • Keep connected with others as much as possible.
  • Do things daily that make you happy such as affirmations, baking, art, singing (if you are able to).
  • Use grey rocking tools.
  • Reach out.
  • Remember you DONT deserve it and it ISNT your fault.

a message from Dr Phillip Lee

“It was a privilege to meet with Vickie to learn more about the fantastic and vital work she does through Kaleidoscopic UK to help support survivors of domestic abuse in Wokingham and our local communities. We must do more as a society to help prevent abuse in the first place and that’s why I applaud her efforts to not only support survivors but to provide vital training and prevention programmes.”

SURVIVOR

Kaleidoscopic UK believe and use the term SURVIVOR for ANYONE who is experiencing, or has experienced, domestic abuse in ANY form.

KALEIDOSCOPIC

dictionary definition – adjective; changing form, pattern and colour.

This is why we chose the name as we CAN change our patterns, and find our colours after abuse; “abuse may change us but it DOESN’T define us”
